If you need to look at a page's source code on a mobile phone, at least on Android Firefox and Chrome (haven't checked iOS) you can prepend any url in the url bar with "view-source:" to see it. So

view-source:https://yourwebsite

would show the yourwebsite source code

@darius related: formatted HTML > minified HTML 😅

Darius Kazemi

@darth_mall no no, you minify the html so you can see it better on a small phone screen

@darius Oh this is super-helpful, I was just lamenting the lack of source view in Firefox mobile this week!

ranjit

@darius whoa, neat!

Sad to say I tried it on IOS Safari and it just said "the address is invalid" :sadcowblob:

@darius totally forgot about this. I've been using neatnik.net/view-source/ which has generally worked well.

what I really need is devtools in mobile browsers 😄 (or some subset of what you'd find on desktop)

pb

@darius alas, does not on iOS.

@pb comments are telling me that this bookmarklet will do the same on mobile safari

@darius this is eerily helpful, I was literally wondering this for the first time yesterday :-o
