@TimR @trumpet I had the same problem but it started working properly about 3 or 4 hours ago. Unfortunately all my pendings stayed pending, but if I went back and cancelled request then re-followed it worked. Not sure if the backlog will ultimately clear.

Also not sure how you actually see all the federated users you've followed as they don't appear under Following, although maybe that will fix itself later?
