@Gargron Cover the top with some butter or oil next time get get a better color. You can also add a pinch of salt loosely across the top.

Another little secret is to spray the inside of the oven walls with a bit of water and that'll help the crust.

@Gargron Believe me, only a bread made from sourdough is a real bread. A great source of information is this blog ploetzblog.de/ (German) with delicious bread recipes. Homemade bread is just great. Two of my first tries. 😋

@Gargron I have been making bread too. Lots of pizza dough mostly. But occasionally loaves of bread and cookies. I also want try making pizza dough bread and fried bread. I will report back on how it goes.
