@ShellSheddy @Gargron your account only exists on one server, but you can follow people on another server by typing their whole handle in to your server’s search bar. That’ll bring their posts onto your local server to make your timeline.

@ShellSheddy @Gargron you have an account only on the server (also known as an instance) called mstdn.social and you can not use that account to login anywhere else. but as you can see you are talking to people who 'live' on other servers rn so you dont need to 'log in' to the other servers to interact with them. Does that make sense? if you see a post on a server you want to respond to, copy the link and search for it in the local search bar inside mstdn.social and the post will load to respond
