@Gargron DigitalOcean for the win 🙌 we use them so much at work and that’s where our Mastodon instance is hosted ☺️ @Gargron Oh good! I just upgraded their old instance the *very hard way* to 4.0.0rc2! @Gargron Oh awesome! I had just used it yesterday and was about to dig into and do it manually. Thanks Jes! @Gargron Gottla love the contributions coming in from all sides and angles- Github and elsewhere. High five!! @Gargron Thank you, this is the best news of this week!!! 😍 I spent horrible hours by trying to upgrade Digital Ocean droplet to latest Ubuntu and Mastodon. I cried many times and finally lost my first instance 😭 Now it's the time to test how fine is the "Migration to new instance" part of Installation guide on joinmastodon.org 😁 @Gargron amazing, the 1click install uses apache2, I expect this can be swapped out for nginx post install? I'm curious why DO have chosen apache2 when mastodon docs use nginx @Gargron ☝️ Having spent 3 evenings trying to get this sorted on a Linode... here's hoping that someone builds a Mastodon image for Linode servers too. @Gargron This is great news! I used the old image and had to update which was a little painful. Glad to see it's finally updated. @Gargron I had no idea it was available on Marketplace. Previously, I was using Mastodon through Cloudron. |
@Gargron Excellent.
