 10/ I've previously said that federation is *the* Fediverse's killer feature. Hell, it's in the name. If there's no federation, what's the point? Should any Fediverse app remove federation functionality, it has no reason to exist—it should be thrown in a dumpster fire. Examples of these dumpster fire apps inside Truth Social and Counter Social—all which have essentially removed federation functionality. But that's okay! @atomicpoet my dude, while I love that viewpoint, the whole #twittermigration isn’t happening because a bunch of new users are suddenly fascinated by a new technology. They are doing it because of the tantrums being thrown by a certain corrupt billionaire. @richardc Sorry, you got to be more clear because I'm not reading between the lines. Why does this thread have to do with Elon Musk? And why should that impact an explanation for why I have multiple accounts and instances? @atomicpoet I also have a second for romance writers and I'll do a third for movies and TV shows. This main is to watch, learn and post, erm, toot at large. I'm grateful I'm not the only person doing this. |
