@Gargron NOT being a jerk here, but is this intrinsic to the way Mastodon (archives?) the home feeds? Or do you mean "refreshing" the home feeds of those who haven't visited in awhile.

@jann Home feeds are stored in memory instead of on disk. But we only store them for active users. When you return after a long absence, we have to recreate your home feed.
