 @nergal @FediVideos Everything is akin to censorship. • Not listing YouTube videos is censoring youtubers. A search engine is a tool. The question we should be asking is: would this make it a more useful tool? (We should also ask "what are the potential side-effects?", but pragmatically.) @nergal @FediVideos Though crowd tagging sounds like a good idea! How would you envisage that working, and do you think you could make a little search engine that worked that way? |
@FediVideos allowlist, blocklist is akin to censorship. does that mean one has to watch all of those videos to classify? if crowd tagging is engaged, could result in what cloud antivirus was decades ago that gave rise to virustotal.
