My eyes are so tired all the time, like it's exhausting to focus on the screen...

@Gargron

That usually means it's time for a break, IMHO. Maybe time for new glasses/contacts as well.

@Gargron maling more breaks and drinking a lot more water helped me a lot, water keeps your eyes hydrated!

@Gargron Have spent years behind screens. Too much too long. The only thing that helps is spending less time behind a screen. Any kind of screen. Many take a break to stare at their mobile. Very bad. Other glasses or lenses, a better setup or blue filters are all going to get things worse because you will continue to spend too much time behind a screen.
I try to plan whole days without any screen time on purpose. Our eyes are not made to be glued to screens 24/7. Screens are eye torture.

@Gargron go for a walk on the wild side man, check out the green, before it turns brown.

@Gargron Find an e-ink monitor for programing. Easier on the eyes. I have ordered the ReMarkable 2, which can be turned into a second screen with some light "hacking".

@Gargron You won't like it but the solution may be looking a bit less at the screens

@Gargron
That's because it takes physical effort to retain a fixed focus instead of constantly changing focus as you would if looking around...
