I must have missed them.  @greensofshade @negative12dollarbill @resera @nekoewen these subtitles aren't perfect and for commercial use should still be fixed by a human. This is a huge win for accessibility  Ew AI Subtitles though. Unless it was showcasing how they are all wrong and funny when they have the wrong things on screen.  @nekoewen Now they just need to walk back the UIs for android devices to the point where they were still useful, and they will INDEED BE GODS!!!   @nekoewen It's not for "pirating media" it's for "actually being able to watch videos that people send you in weird formats", including the videos you get for infringing a box junction in London (you'd think they'd manage to use a format which require less hoop-jumping though - I don't see how a non-techie is supposed to cope with that). @TimWardCam @nekoewen I find that they ask people like you and I for help Tim. Mostly. @RosePuckey @nekoewen Yeahbut IMO that's not good enough for "here's the evidence for the fine you've got to pay in the next xx days", it should be something the punter can just watch. What's worse, they send it on an optical disk!! - I did have an old laptop that I hadn't thrown out yet with an optical drive, but not everybody has one of those. @TimWardCam @nekoewen Oh absolutely, I didn't realise they sent it like that but it isn't a surprise. I tried to get a dashcam video to them, it was near on impossible. Can't use thumb drives, can't send attachments in mail, can't download from secure cloud drives. I put it on an old phone, lent them that and said, there you fo, over to you to work out how to use a 15 minute video of someone trying not to fall off the road. @nekoewen extra points for citing Robert Evans. He and Garre did a bang-up job in their podcast "it could happen here" this week about the CES.
