Gregory's ServerI think one of my professional highlights of this year was the moment @mike and I came up with the fediverse:creator tag over lunch in San Francisco, and the subsequent implementation with my team. I love seeing that feature in action, besides being useful for discovery it just looks so nice.

  @andypiper @Gargron @mike ah this one... Yeah, totally excellent addition. I hope corporate tech blogs jump in soon too.  The Material You redesign of our Android app came out quite early in the year but it's another highlight. I maintain that it must be one of the most beautiful apps on Android. The design is so clean. And the whole app is just 5MB. It makes me wish I had an Android phone. @samhenrigold and @grishka really hit it out of the park.    @Gargron @samhenrigold @grishka Too bad you violated Material You guidelines on accessibility, and still apparently haven't fixed it. But clean designs are clearly more important than accessible applications.  @Gargron @samhenrigold @grishka Having the Mastodon app respect my system design and theme is AMAZING and actually plays a significant role in me wanting to be on the platform. Genuinely awesome stuff. Thank you guys!!!  @Gargron I just posted that I've been rotating between Android Masto apps (Official, Tusky, Fedilab) and the official app is the slickest. It looks the cleanest, and most importantly, its scrolling is SUPER solid. No hitching or anything like that, which I really appreciate as a user. #Fediverse #Mastodon  @Gargron I really appreciate the app being very lightweight. I'm no dev but, I notice many apps inflate in size by simply updating to the next design language for no reason  With the understanding that some people will and do call it a waste of time, another highlight of my year was getting the #Plushtodon out into the world. I didn't want to just make another soulless piece of merch to tick off a box. I wanted to create a toy, a friend, that would rival anything you could get at a toy store. It brings me joy seeing that people seem to appreciate the effort.     @Gargron the Mastodon plushie is awesome, I wish I could have one   People really seem to like them. I plan to order one myself at some point. It is kind of a little thing, but it does seem to bring people joy.    @Gargron I love Plushtodon! I also hope you do another run of then because I didn't get one on time before it sold out. ;)  Love my Plushtodon! Even as adults, we still need fun, silly things that make us smile, and my little pachyderm does exactly that.  @Gargron Thank you for #Plushtodon, I love it and I really appreciate your help in getting it delivered to me after DHL claimed twice that my home doesn't exists :)   @Gargron Is someone dissing #Plushtodon‽ We ride at dawn! 🥊 Seriously, this has to be one of my favorite items from #Mastodon! However, what we need is more plushie’s from the #Fediverse, not less!   @Gargron my highlight is definitely the plush.
