I want to apologize for my disrespectful comments about @vernissage

My reaction to the transition from Pixelfed was emotional and unprofessional.

While I felt hurt by how the changes were handled, expressing that through negative comments was wrong and immature.

This behavior doesn't reflect my values or the constructive dialogue I want to promote in our community.

I take full responsibility for my actions and will strive to engage more respectfully in the future.

@vernissage To show my sincere apology and that I do value the opportunity to collaborate, I have reached out to their project to see if we can implement full account migration from Pixelfed to Vernissage.

I understand if they do not want to work with me, and in that case I wish them all the best and will stop bothering them!

@dansup @vernissage We all make mistakes, and sometimes we react while our feelings are on the surface. But it's better to acknowledge them and apologise. That is the growth of our souls :ablobcatheartsqueeze:

@dansup
Boosted because this is amazing. I don’t even know what you said, but if we had more of this, things would be better. πŸ™πŸΌβ€οΈ

@dansup @vernissage you just wore your heart on your sleeve: nothing immature about that. maybe disrespectful, yes, but I see all but immaturity here :love:

@dansup I won’t deny that being called a weirdo and accused of doing nothing for Pixelfed was deeply hurtful. I’ve invested a great deal into Impressia, dedicating many months of my life to it. The decision to make Vernissage a standalone platform is something I explained and apologized for many months ago in private messages.

I accept your apology and consider the matter resolved. I also wish you a wonderful holiday season and satisfaction in your work on projects in the coming year πŸŽ„βœ¨.

@mczachurski I am so truly sorry, and you accepting my apology means so much to me.

I feel so terrible for the way I treated you, its' so unbecoming for everything I've done and stand for, and to attack one of the most dedicated people, you never deserved that.

I will make sure that never happens again, and take this opportunity to improve Pixelfed and collaborate with you to make our platforms even better!

You've shown a lot of grace and maturity during this, and I could learn from that ❀️

@dansup @mczachurski As someone who knows both platforms, let me say: You both rock and I like what you give AND sacrifice to the community and users like me. Sometimes there are discussions though but, afterall, you give people a way to choose the perfect showcase for their photos free from the data-sucking and tracking well-known companies.

Keep it up and all the best to you guys for 2025! πŸ™πŸ» πŸŽ„

@dansup @vernissage don’t be too hard on yourself. We all do it and it takes a very big person to admit we might have been wrong and reflect on how to grow.
