@Autumn

I used to listen to NPR because the format is the best of all forms of radio at this point.

Then their Katrina coverage contradicted what I was seeing unfold in front of my eyes, and I realized they lie as much as Pravda.

@amerika me too - and PBS as well - even sported the sticker on my car lol for me it was 2015 when they trashed Bernie and totally omitted Tulsi from their news - when she resigned as DNC chair. Now the clips NA plays are so painful to listen to out of all of them ugh

@Autumn

I remember watching CNN once upon a time too.

I can't imagine doing it today. Not so much because it is propaganda (although that is also bad) but the hysterical, rage-fed neurosis radiating out of it.

Autumn

@amerika I didn't grow up w/TV so I've watched sparingly. The format of MSM always bothered me - so I got my news from the failing NYTs and WSJ lol

@Autumn

I started out wanting to be a print journalist. Television has always seemed to be for slow people to me. It's a bias and bigotry, I admit, but I can't sit still for that jive.

WSJ is still good, NYT is great for human interest stories, NPR has the best format, buuuut I mostly read Science Direct, NY Post, and the Daily Fail.

@amerika NYTs def has good features - esp on the arts & books. I don't read any of them anymore - hubby fills me in. Every print media has been captured including local newspapers. Depressing. All my "real" news now comes from indies I do love the Brit tabloids tho

@Autumn

I can still enjoy some of what Financial Times, Deutsche Welle, and the Indian news services write as well.

Autumn

@amerika all funded by corporate interests so I look at them as propaganda. My fav Indian source is greatgameindia.com/

@Autumn

Yes, me too! They have some hysterical stuff.
