@gosha i've been doing a similar thing but i've been using a hledger journal file as the destination format (hledger.org/) (actually csv → edn → hledger journal). unfortunately the csv from my bank changes ever so slightly every couple of months that i have to adjust it, but in general i'm quite happy

@computersandblues Nice! I've been trying to get into hledger as well but it seems like I can't grok it so far. Do the benefits over sqlite make it worth digging into more?

@gosha i like it, but i think whether you like it or not mostly depends on how easy it is for you to get the information you want from either system. hledger querying is a lot like `notmuch`, and it's pretty nice to quickly combine different filters for accounts, tags, date ranges and so on, in a format that's more terse than sql. i also like having double-entry bookkeeping after i got used to it. you can do a lot with the hledger journal, but i use it mostly on the command-line for reporting. being a somewhat standard format for the purpose means that there are some tools around it (a web interface and a mobile app) that would allow you to do way more

@computersandblues Thank you! It does feel like it might be worth for me to give it another try, I shall do that.
