@helenclayton I did wonder why there was a gate at the end!

BashStKid

@helenclayton I’m guessing it’s not very silent just now?

Helen Clayton

@BashStKid not so much no 😄. It borders our garden and I can always hear it when I’m outside, normally a gentle babble. It joins a bigger river just after the gate, then an even bigger river a little further on. I’ve not been down to see that today. Maybe tomorrow.

@helenclayton imagining some trout opening and closing the gate as they travel up and down stream

@helenclayton even for Wales thats an odd place for a gate

Helen Clayton

@Beedazzled it’s funny isn’t it. I have come across quite a few lanes that coexist with a stream (not just in Wales) but the boundaries are very blurred here! Can usually manage in walking boots, carefully stepping on stones or jumping across, but this was halfway up my wellies today and quite difficult to stand in.

@helenclayton ~ You do not see many gates on streams. 💕

@hmallett I nearly took an audio recording. It’s a beautiful sound.
