Ер9 is still my main train to the countryhouse by the way. Also remember when there was an active renovation of these trains we could see literal Д1 carried by ВЛ80 for a few months (photos are illustrative).

Some time ago it was popular to just paint outside of a train to "mpdern" colors and leave it like this. But insides could remain the same.
