I've made some remarks about my distaste for BlueSky in the technical sense

But when it comes down to it, ActivityPub, BlueSky, Nostr and other social protocols will become increasingly important due to recent events

It's no longer us vs them, they are us, and we need to collaborate and leverage our expertise for the benefit of humanity

Sometimes the fight takes a while, but we will not give up

The future of the social web depends on us

@dansup
True words.
And thanks for all the continued efforts you take to help a truly social web grow ♥

@dansup Counterpoint.

#BlueSky and #Threads (and ALL #DTBOs) are part of the problem, and will NOT be of any help, because they are both owned by a group of people eager to kiss the ring of fascists, as long as they are able to make huge profits off the software platform. And they will do just that.

BlueSky is already partly owned by VC crypto bros. Threads' owner is Zuck. Nuff said.

If anyone is still at threads or bs, they might as well go back to xitter or facebook.

@dansup the problem with this thought is that bluesky social network is just a reference implementation and BSKY is only using it as means to an end (their company is not actually cored on running the site, it's just a reference at proto implementation- if another one pops up, they'll just ask easily abandon bluesky)
