You should be tested - IMMEDIATELY! It's not only encephalitis you need to fear but borreliosis aka Lime Disease. The sooner you know if you are infected the sooner they can be treated

@SaareMartha Thanks for advice! In Sweden, doctors don't do any tests until you have clear symptoms such as a fever or muscular pain :ablobcatheartbroken:

Here in Estonia my perearst (GP) tests me as soon as I develop a red spot. But we have a very high incidence of both illnesses here on Saaremaa so nobody messes around.

@SaareMartha In Sweden things are different. That's what I got from my doctor today after showing the place of bite.

I was also bitten a year ago and got Lyme. Even though it took me 3 weeks to get antibiotics 😩
