You aren't CHOOSING to help Donald Trump, but your choice does help him when you take into account every other variable that is both obvious and historically repeated and documented.
Splitting the vote in close races is the same as, or worse, as supporting the worse option. This is a literal thing used and abused for decades now.

Voting against Harris, as detestable as you believe it to be, is voting for Trump in effect. The degree of that effect varies depending on what state you are in.
Voting for Jill Stein, who has 0% chance of winning the election, is a vote for Trump by proxy.
