Alas, Syncthing Android is being discontinued. Fair enough too but I hope it will keep going in some form. It's a marvellous bit of tech. https://forum.syncthing.net/t/discontinuing-syncthing-android/23002/

@minoru Good to hear! I saw that one mentioned - I have my fingers crossed the answer on https://github.com/Catfriend1/syncthing-android/issues/1149 will be "yep we're decoupled enough that it won't be a problem" @thomask without support all previous versions will also work as they did before. And that means it will exist "in some form" @ElectroFetish Indeed, however keeping an app running in the background is a continuously-changing art form in Android and I wouldn't be confident that all will be well with old APKs within a couple of major releases. @thomask I agree. @thomask Of course, the development of the program is directly related to support. But it is necessary to implement resistance to staticity (archiving) of the program so that the inertia is much greater. |
@thomask I've been using Syncthing-Fork from F-droid right from the start (i.e. the last three months). Can't compare it to the original app, but I can attest that the fork works fine and didn't cause any issues for me.
