@w7voa The only way I was able to help my MIL restore her FB account after it was taken over by hackers was by knowing someone inside Meta. That's not the way a company should work. Yet somehow, Meta makes money?

@w7voa Sorry for all of you, but I left FB etc after the Cambridge Analytica ordeal. It took me about a week, but I was able to download all of my data before I deleted the account.

@w7voa What Umar writes about is the norm. Certainly was when I used Meta (Facebook till 2017, Instagram till 2019). Giving them ID may or may not work. Paying them money for an ad campaign: that suddenly helps open doors to a human in support.
