Really fun to see Lewis work his way back up the back for a 1-2 Mercedes finish last night. Vegas is quite the place to have a Grand Prix. F1Threads Today we’re beginning to test a couple of long-overdue improvements to Search and Trending Now on Threads. In the new Search experience, you’ll be able to search within a specific date range or search for posts from a single account. In the US, where Trending now is available, we’re testing an expanded set of trending topics, along with AI-powered summaries of what people are discussing. If you try out the new features, please share your feedback below 👇🏼 We are rebalancing ranking to prioritize content from people you follow, which will mean less recommended content from accounts you don’t follow and more posts from the accounts you do starting today. For you creators out there, you should see unconnected reach go down and connected reach go up. This is definitely a work in progress – balancing the ability to reach followers and overall engagement is tricky – thanks for your patience and keep the feedback coming. If you haven’t tried it yet, pull down on your Threads home screen to reveal your custom feeds — available to everyone globally today. Interesting Threads fact: we’re removing the Instagram graph import from the onboarding flow. We’ve been running a test for a while now and it looks like people actually prefer their experience if they build a different graph on Thread than the graph that they had on Instagram. Feels a bit like a growing up moment. Yesterday we crossed 275M monthly active users on @Threads. A big thank you to everyone who’s helped us get this far. There’s a lot more to do, and plenty of things to fix, but there’s something exciting about this place. 🙏🏼 We’re rolling out activity status as a way to help you find others to engage with in real-time. Only people who have activity status turned on will be able to see when you’re online, and you can turn this off within your settings at any time. We hope that knowing when your people are online makes it easier to have conversations. For those of you who've shared concerns about enforcement issues: we're looking into it and have already found mistakes and made changes. Most prominently, our reviewers (people) were making calls without being provided the context on how conversations played out, which was a miss. We’re fixing this so they can make the better calls and we can make fewer mistakes. We're trying to provide a safer experience, and we need to do better. Thanks for your patience and keep the feedback coming. A couple of new things for Threads today: we’ve heard you’d like more time to edit your posts, so starting today, you’ll have 15 minutes to make changes. (I know this will come in handy for me…) For those of you who have turned on sharing to the fediverse, this means your Threads posts will now be shared to the fediverse 15 minutes later, once the edit window is closed. (1/2) We’re also continuing our work integrating Threads with the fediverse. Starting today, people who have turned on sharing to the fediverse can see who follows them and likes their content from other fediverse servers. Tap the post activity or follower list for the full list. If you have other feedback or suggestions for Threads, please let me know in the replies 🙏🏼 (2/2) Lots of announcements today at Connect, including plenty of integrations into the Instagram app. Stay tuned for more… Love this thread by Derek on style on a budget. I’m excited to share that we crossed the 200M milestone on @threads. My hope is that Threads can inspire ideas that bring people together, and this amazing community continues to grow. Thank you for investing your time and giving feedback that makes the place better for everyone. New for people in the US: we’re rolling out a blue label above posts that are related to a recent trending topic. You can tap on the label to view posts related to the same topic. Hoping this makes it easier to find posts and follow conversations that are relevant to your interests. Instagram is about connecting with friend about your interests. Notes has been a sneaky success over the last year, so I’m excited that you can now post notes on content just for your friends (followers who follow you back or close friends) to see. Check it out and let me know what you think. Devastating for those of us rooting for England, so so close, but what a game and hats off to Spain who played seven beautiful games. 🇪🇸🏴 I made a simple version of @mrsdonabe's Tokyo ramen for my kids tonight and was showered with compliments from three boys who complain more than I like to admit. I'm off this week and cooking a bit, and I forgot how much I love it. Also, who doesn't love ramen? Today marks one year for Threads, so I thought it would be fun to share some logo options that never made the cut 🎂🎉 It’s hard to believe it’s been a year… a huge props to the Threads team for shipping improvements week after week, and an even bigger thanks to the Threads community for being here. Everyone has something valuable to say — and we aim to build a place where anyone can comfortably share their ideas. Threads now has more than 175M monthly actives. What a year. |
