@maia @wedotyou hi maia, this is very cool and I'd be very interested in trying it.

One comment is that I feel like the hetzner pricing listed is odd? Priced at $6.22/m when I'm paying $3.79 for the same specs

@eb that price is based on: AMD64, 2 gigs RAM, 2 cores, 20 int storage + 20 block storage, in Germany - perhaps you have an ARM server?

@wedotyou speaking of, I forgot to pay the hetzner bill. Thanks for reminding me.

@wedotyou I'd be willing to try it though I have a lot of questions.

1. I don't see terms, privacy, or fair use policies. I'm mostly interested in what is in the scope of allowable to host? Loosely defined above as 'open-source and non-profit' but as I'm sure you are aware, both of these things exist on spectrums
2. How robust is the dashboard? Billpay? How easy is it to provision new servers? Scale them?

@eb
first, terms & privacy policy are in the agreement provided when you intend to get a VM, however i will put them in the footer tomorrow.

the free offer is provided to those who run an open source project that is to be publically accessible on the web - anyone not qualifying in this can still use the service but the free offer isn't applied.

the dashboard is a bit of a mess right now (proxmox), but it's being rewritten as we speak for something more intuitive and scalable

@wedotyou all this checks out. I self host a lot of open source, but the stuff is almost exclusively used by me.

The big one at Hetzner is beanbag.boehs.org/share/JGBYO4, which is technically open source: github.com/boehs/miami. I would be willing to move it over, but I believe that this is not the intended use.

Otherwise, let me know when you enable billing :)
