@neauoire utterly ridiculous because this is targeting individuals, disregarding their personal circumstances because someone is feelong righteous to deliver "justice" because "car bad", is simply arrogant.
What's gona happen in most cases is the owner will call in roadside assistance so that another 4x4 comes by with an air compressor or a spare. Win for the planet, but hey, "they're out there doing something" right...

@neauoire pretty misguided “activism” IMO. the tangible result of this act is:

* the SUV will pollute the air more by idling for 5-10 minutes while they refill the tire(s) with an air compressor
* the driver have long-lived anger towards “environmentalists” for wasting their time
* the tire may be permanently damaged by being deflated fully, resulting in material/monetary waste when it gets replaced
* the societal mechanisms that created an oversized polluting vehicle will be 100% unchanged

@neauoire Drivers don't share 45% of the urban landscape well except with each other, and SUVs take up the most space when you look around. Their employers would probably sympathize, as they also are very likely to drive SUVs.

Andreas Malm writes that a driver might inconvenience or even injure cyclists and pedestrians and easily escape consequences, but the retaliation in response to nonviolent reversible inconvenience is often frothing with threats of violence or law-enforced. Lentil away IMO
