Gregory's ServerThere's a 2008 breaking news tweet about Joe Biden leaving the presidential race that seems to be going viral right now, and I think at least part of the problem could be that the date of the tweet is not actually included on any of the previews (when you e.g. post the link on Discord and it generates a preview). Mastodon's previews don't include the date either but maybe they should.

Context matters to understanding information and metadata is amaaazing! @Gargron in Brazil people distribute twitter content by means of screenshotting the tweet and the sharing the image over whatsapp and telegram. So the date being displayed depends on the view where the screenshot has been made. |
