Well, technically USB-C can carry audio as well... but given that the topic is about charging, audio jack does not belong there either.
On the third hand, most people will likely not notice =)

@richlv @Oleksii @EUCommission some cheap mp3 players actually used to charge over the headphone jack.. Actually i think my mom still has her old first mobile phone somewhere that charged over the tiny headphone jack (the one that's even smaller than 3,5mm)

One of the early small iPods actually charged via the 3.5mm jack, so it's still relevant. 2.5mm jack charging is news to me, but I'm assuming it's true, considering just how many proprietary charging standards (even within the same manufacturer, looking at you Nokia!) I experienced in my early days.

@vikinghoarder @Oleksii @EUCommission i have 3 or 4 devices with Jacks for charging and USB A on the other Side of the cable. Barrell Connectors and audio Style Jacks as well.

Oleksii, iirc there exist mp3 players that charge through the headphone jack
