@codl AP servers could be so simple, they just need to be dumb pipes that accept activities generated by clients and then deliver / store-and-forward them to the marked recipients. all the complexity is offloaded to the AP clients which can generate and display whatever they feel like

@codl also from the other end of the issue: mastodon should be able to render more things as statuses. none of this "supported types" / "converted types" ( / unsupported types?) bullshit. just render the content if it has any.
