@mkljczk @mozilla Won't be surprised if Threads also defederates in the future. Once you're hooked by following accounts in Threads, they'll pull the plug forcing you to create an account in Threads - "...must have that Threads dopamine fix".

As for Mozilla, always doubted their intentions of joining the Fediverse. The 'experiment' lingo - meaning, "Look it's an experiment. We can abandon it anytime." They got good press for it too and managed to stay relevant.

And whatever happened to that something called Tumblr joining the Fediverse? lol

They'll just be deleted after it shuts down, that's how fedi works.
You can manually migrate to any other fedi instance to keep your social graph (follows and followers) when you choose a different one.
If anyone you follow migrates, you'll automatically start following their new account.

@halotroop2288 that makes sense and is super cool you can keep the social graph, that’s something I was not aware of tbh that someone could do.

In this case, I was wondering more where the Mozilla Org handle itself (Mozilla’s main account) where that will be migrated to… I wanted to keep following them on their new handle.

Probably will just get deleted. Corporations really aren't welcome on fedi. Maybe they'll go to mastodon.social because they're extremely lax about gatekeeping.
