@scanner hah, I was literally just thinking about Up in comparison to Across the Spider-Verse, as one of the only other examples I can think of where they packed so much storytelling, character development and emotional depth into a relatively short sequence at the start of the film
@simon There is also “Finding Nemo” which if you do not know what is going to happen is an emotional shock once you see the (I think it is a) Gar fish, but is below “Across the Spider-Verse” and “Up”, but still up there.
