@ifixcoinops Honestly, I'm scared for the future of digital media. I was just listening to Fallen by Evanescense last night, and the first non-playlist result was some assy remaster. It took me ages to find a decent copy of the original album.

On top of that, it's getting harder and harder to actually find songs I love. They're getting buried under seas of crappy pop sensations.

Peertube could solve this, but with the fear of takedowns and the DMCA, a better solution is a TOR Hidden Service dedicated to archiving and preserving digital art.

Also, FLAC > MP3...

Not many people have noticed that we are in the middle of an information dark age. We will look back on this era and there will be nothing saved.

@lofenyy @ifixcoinops Yeah, one of the (many) reasons I don’t use music streaming services is that they always have the grottiest, nastiest loudness war blighted remasters of older albums on there. In my experience, CD masters from the 80s/90s are always superior.
