@ConnyDuck Most of this seems like it could be an improvement, but I gotta say I like the checkbox better. I can tell at a glance what state it's in. For the switch, I usually have to toggle it back and forth to compare the state and see which one means it's activated, I can't tell at a glance.

@skyfaller @ConnyDuck Also, switches are intended for changes that are applied immediately like a light switch. While checkboxes are meant for things that will happen later, just like a paper form. Thus i think the checkbox is better in this case

I read about it in gnome's hig, but I'm pretty sure it applies to other ui toolkits
