@skyfaller @ConnyDuck Also, switches are intended for changes that are applied immediately like a light switch. While checkboxes are meant for things that will happen later, just like a paper form. Thus i think the checkbox is better in this case I read about it in gnome's hig, but I'm pretty sure it applies to other ui toolkits @svenjacobs Yes...but could your devs be a little more smart thinking that some people still have "small screen" smartphone ? @cheziceman I seriously doubt that even the smallest Android smartphone today isn't capable of displaying this dialog which became a little bit higher. @svenjacobs I just had the case with other apps....and some are from...Google. To do what Google does is often bullshit. @cheziceman However we're talking about this specific, small dialog here and not about what other apps do 🤷 @svenjacobs but it's a more generic issue to think about all the terminals and also to disabled people when you're talking about UI... especially when you are using specifications from Google, Microsoft ... which are not real standards FYI: video audio continues after closing the video and switching to a different tab. Will you work on a video playback tool? |
@ConnyDuck Most of this seems like it could be an improvement, but I gotta say I like the checkbox better. I can tell at a glance what state it's in. For the switch, I usually have to toggle it back and forth to compare the state and see which one means it's activated, I can't tell at a glance.
