@smashedratonpress it's not the developers. It's the managers and executives.

Because the software is not the product, and people who use Windows are not the customers.

Hype is the product. Investors are the customers.

And investors right now are salivating whenever "AI" is mentioned.

@rysiek Mmm, yes I use "developers" loosely to mean "companies that are developing this software". I take your point that it's not so often the actual programmers in trenches that are the primary culprits.
