@geotechland Pixelfed already supports looped videos, the only reason it's not enabled is because there are ffmpeg bugs in the thumbnail logic.

Instagram added looping videos in 2013 as a response to Vine.

MicroUI belongs to pleroma now, where they support a lot more than Pixelfed including text-only posts.

@dansup gotcha. Will loops discover be the only media available to non-registered users? Or are the current discover pages for regular images available to the public already?

@geotechland Yes, Loops will be the only discover page accessible to guests. The public timeline will be be accessible to guests in the near future!
