@neauoire as someone who has a really wonderful sense of design and aesthetic sensibility and also thinks about things in a longer term thinking kinda way, do you have any ideas about how to help guild a framework that could help convey a sense of cohesiveness when designing for the fediverse?

@liaizon well, iconography is a good start, for example, there's no social icon that represents the fediverse, some people put the mastodon logo which is very bizarre to me, but if you liked, maybe the best thing we can do is start using the 3 stars(⁂) as a profile website icon.

If @raphael makes me a cleaned up svg of it, I'll put it up on my wiki, and I'm certain I can inspire a handful others to do the same. Moving away from a software icon to a platform icon would be a good first step.

@raphael @liaizon @nclm Do I have your permission to use it on my website, clean up the file from all extraneous information(ids, classes, styles, etc..), and to reshare so others may also do the same?

@neauoire @raphael @nclm before you add it to your site do you mind if we tweak it a bit more? I have some ideas I want to discus and I am currently making some mockups. I feel like as soon as Devine uses it we will get a ton of people jumping on it (: and it would be cool to be a bit more "ready"

@liaizon @raphael @nclm I love the idea, it'll help cement the idea that it's an ecosystem and a protocol, and not a single piece of software.

Hey @neauoire only took us 20 months but @raphael, @nclm and myself finally launched symbol.fediverse.info and set up the @FediverseSymbol account for it. Would love it if you were still interested in being involved or even just using it!
