I'm not sure that would he the most constructive reply if that was all you said. It would have the effect of shutting down the conversation, meanwhile the person would still be getting bigoted replies and might feel silenced.

While it is worth acknowledging the fact the devs are working on stuff, the wider issue of racism on the fediverse is too nuanced to be solved by this alone, so IMO more discussion should be encouraged not shut down.
