Not sure how to best differentiate usernames on the livestream chat, do you prefer the username color or underline color?

I'm aware of some low contrast usernames, that will be fixed for both light & dark mode before this ships! #pixelfed #pixeldev #pixelfedLive

@dansup I would prefer the underline colors. But may be this is caused, because the username colors are so aggressive. Less saturated colors would be finde for me.

@dansup I find both kinda confusing because each username isn't a unique color. In the examples I see 3 green users in a row and my brain says those should all be the same person speaking. Maybe keep the user names all in one color but alternate shading of each line?

As Instagram is frequently criticized as an unhealthy platform, what sort of design decision have you made to maybe make it better? I certainly don’t expect this but it may be a good motivator to get people to use your platform. There is a nice Ted talk on this: ted.com/talks/tristan_harris_h

@dansup username color is probably more visually effective. While underline is a bit more sober. I like username color, kind of reminds me of old IRC :-)
