The reason FediDB is the way it is, is because it was originally started as an ActivityPub test service

I had to manually add public software listings, and all the data which is why it only shows a fraction of the actual software

Open sourcing this means we can crowdsource the missing data and provide more coverage and better data

Having a public API of software like api.fedidb.org/v1/software is pretty cool, but we can do better 😉
