I'm thinking we'll use account follows and hashtag follows and call them Follower Packs that can be used for both new and existing accounts

@datafuzz They will be ActivityPub objects that will be compatible with not just Pixelfed, but any client or server (it's pretty ingenious), more details soon :)

@dansup you are a bit after where the feature is needed I think. We need a global feature for onboarding: as a user, I should be able to create an invite-link with predefined instance, predefined follow/blocklist, predefined hashtags, predefined filters. By giving this invite link people won't have to chose the instance also and will just have to subscribe and get a relevant timeline. Having just starter-packs after registration is too late. We need a starter pack for the whole onboarding IMHO
