This was the last todo item before its ready to ship, so expect a pre-release APK shortly ✨

One suggestion right away: don't describe what user needs to do with words ("tap"). It would look more polished if you, for example, make an arrow that points to those two buttons with just "add media". Assuming you're required to in order to post. If it's not required, just remove that banner entirely, it's too redundant, the buttons are already obvious enough. @grishka oh wow, I initially looked through screenshot and though that it was a button to add media, but noticed it's just a hint after your reply. Can absolutely vouch, this should be an Add media button or it shouldn't be there at all. Given that Pixelfed is a media-focused app though I would expect it to be a large add media button, instead of small 🖼️ and 📷 buttons. Braw :blob_cat_melt: 🏳🌈, I mean, if you're copying Instagram, copy their post creation flow as much as you can. It's one part that is really polished, because it's "it must work outstandingly well or we go out of business" situation. Start with having the user select the media attachment(s) and then ask to add a description, geo tag, specify visibility, etc I was wondering. When we're creating a new post, via the browser, would it be possible to give us an option to paste a picture in, please? There have been a couple of times I wanted to post a screenshot, but decided not to as I didn't want to save it. |
@dansup @pixelfed I'd move the add picture/video buttons to the media area somehow.
