 @dansup @pixelfed Oh thank you! 🙏🏻 As for Mastodon, I'm still hoping this will be implemented in the future. In my mind, it just makes sense, seeing as most of the initial rules (and values) were focused on anti-discrimination and keeping people safe. (Why does X have this feature but Mastodon doesn't?!) My reasoning for Pixelfed is simpler: I might not want random people or even friends to share my private photos, but treat it as a photo album they can go to and can comment on.

@dansup @pixelfed That was actually what I was saying! 😂 I don't mind if my posts are public and searchable (I prefer them to be public so people who aren't signed up can see them as well) but I don't want them to be boost/shareable. At max, I could see sharing through stories to be okay. Sorry if my second post was confusing. |
