@obviousdwest @luckytran "The U.S. military’s anti-vax effort began in the spring of 2020 and expanded beyond Southeast Asia before it was terminated in mid-2021"
Unacceptable no matter who was in charge of the government.

@Raccoon @michael_w_busch @obviousdwest @luckytran Given the massive shitshow he inherited, Biden may not have even known it was happening until he was a few months into the job. @textualdeviance @Raccoon @obviousdwest @luckytran Per the Reuters piece, the Biden administration did shut this outrage down when they were told about it. But the general who Reuters reports as having ordered the operation, Jonathan Braga, is still in the US military - and was promoted in 2021 August. @michael_w_busch @textualdeviance @Raccoon @obviousdwest @luckytran Some part of me wants to give that guy a pass based on the Milgram experiment but no. 'Just following orders' has limits. Our nation wasn't in immediate danger and that kind of obedience is not good for democracy. @Raccoon @michael_w_busch @obviousdwest @luckytran The Biden admin terminated the program "by edict", which I assume means executive order, in spring 2021. The pentagon did not rush to pull the plug. @michael_w_busch @obviousdwest @luckytran I read 'spring 2021' either way, within a few months of Biden taking office. |

Still, it seemed an odd thing for Biden to do, but it's pretty classic Trump.
