Sometimes, you just gotta ship it. It's going to be imperfect, but you'll figure it out.

@dansup keep at it. I'm pretty new to the Fediverse. Made this account with Mastodon a few months ago & made a Pixelfed account last week

Platforms like Cara need funding to survive & it's a hard balancing act to be able to survive without selling your soul WHILE also making it attractive to artists & people who just want to look at pictures.

Something like Pixelfed takes back control & puts it into the hands of communities while still being accessible to everyone. This is important work.

@dansup The lack of an official app on iOS has been exactly why nobody in my friend/family group has tried it. It’s by far the biggest barrier.
