@Gargron Any chance of improving the language filter? Legitimately 10-15% of the post I'm seeing are non-English (and mostly Vietnamese). I understand the drive for the platform being location-neutral, but the language free-for-all is problematic.

@Gargron so, I guess the entry on the Wish List would be 'An easy way to report accounts/posts with misidentified languages. But I can definitely see how that is a much bigger task and like quite far down the road, if it is ever to happen at all. Thanks for the response! @Gargron @tapandrollgames As a suggestion, are you able to partner with a translation engine provider (e.g. Google, Bing, Deepl) to provide translation of non-English posts? I’d find this very useful! @gargron @tapandrollgames Am I simply overlooking it or is there no option to set the language per post? Maybe having it as an option under the post when posting would also increase awareness of the feature being available and as such mean more people use it 🤔 |
@tapandrollgames I am not satisfied with our current language filter UX, I can tell you that. But if you have the filters setup in preferences and still see wrong language posts, it's likely because the authors have not set the correct language on their posts, and there is little I can do to fix that.
