@Gargron @fdroidorg Releasing on F-droid would mean no Google services push notifications right? I don't remember if they allow apps that use gplay services.

@Librenyaa @fdroidorg From what @grishka told me, notifications should work if you have Google Play Services installed, regardless of if you get the APK from F-droid or elsewhere. Although, if F-droid forbids it, that's another story. I'm not aware.

Nyaa, I kinda took care of that by not using the Google library (that has closed source parts in it). I figured out I can simply manually send the intent and get the device token. So no, it formally doesn't break the f-droid rules because 100% of the code that goes into the resulting app is open source.

@Gargron May I point to my corresponding article, directly linking to the relevant section?

Unfortunately, your repo does not contain Fastlane structures (gitlab.com/-/snippets/1895688), your Play Store listing is not yet online (to pull things from there), there are no screenshots or descriptions available in your repo – and the website link gives a 404. Otherwise I had promptly added your app to my repo (apt.izzysoft.de/fdroid) meanwhile… Any chance?
