More seriously I think there’s a use for open-source reviewable algorithms. Some for sorting, maybe even some running on device, others for discovery.

Yeah fair point, why not use some other git hosting service other than github/gitlab. That is part of process and strengthening foos movement to do independent and autonmous development of software.
