I mean like Chronological, CIA, CCP :-P More seriously I think there’s a use for open-source reviewable algorithms. Some for sorting, maybe even some running on device, others for discovery. @svitvojimilioni @dansup @pixelfed I‘d like to know as well - TikTok‘s magic isn’t users uploading videos, it’s the recommendation algorithm.  @dansup @svitvojimilioni @pixelfed so you decided that every part if the app will be #FOSS? @dansup @svitvojimilioni @pixelfed awesome! I was worried you would end up stripling video effect parts. 👍 Yeah fair point, why not use some other git hosting service other than github/gitlab. That is part of process and strengthening foos movement to do independent and autonmous development of software. network effect i guess, it's much better to host stuff on other community platforms or at least foss platforms, regain that autonomy! |
