 I'm really looking forward to onboarding the first batch of Loops beta testers. I'm aware of the massive hype and thousands of interested users! This is why I'm working hard to ship the beta, with a suite of features that you'd expect, for example: - Likes I'm not going to make the same mistake I did with Sup and lose focus/work on other things.  @dansup will the videos be stred locally on the server, or are block devices (like Amazon S3) an option? This feels like something that can outgrow a server rather quickly. @collectifission S3, due to the 720p resolution and duration limit of 30 seconds, youโd be surprised at how many Loops videos could fit in 1GB ๐ @collectifission During the beta period, we'll be limiting the duration to 30s, however I am working on longer options that will be made available later on. Vine only had a 6 second limit, and TikTok started with a short limit too.  |

@loops The backend Loops server (loopd) will be open sourced later this week!
Keep in mind, this doesn't mean it will be production ready yet, and the app won't support other instances initially, that will come in the next few weeks.
I'll be open sourcing the mobile app during the beta too, I want to get this right this time!
