When talking about audio processing, is there a way to disambiguate between a "sample" as in "a prerecorded piece of audio", and a "sample" as in "CD audio is 44100 samples per second"?
I am trying to write some code that manipulates audio, and I'm really struggling with naming things.

Sample - это разовый замер, скажем так.
Clip, record, etc - это их совокупность уже, описывающая какой-то фрагмент.
