I've said it before, but I think if there's one thing that social media has probably been 'good' for, it's been lifting the veil to allow people like me to see the kinds of relentless unrepentant garbage that some people have to endure. @TheBreadmonkey one of the most frustrating (& terrifying) things is that a woman never knows if the mansplainer will become violent if his “well-meaning” advice isn’t heeded or received well. So she usually has to thread the needle between acknowledging him w/o encouraging him (bc some men interpret nice = she wants me). Again: it’s exhausting. #NotAllMen @TheBreadmonkey jeez my head just exploded and not just that :skeletonlaugh: :skellysplode: :stabbycat: I hope that guy is made to watch this, excellent composure on G's side!!! @KingShawn @TheBreadmonkey I didn't quite catch how many years he's been playing golf... I don't think he mentioned it enough times. @TheBreadmonkey If this ends any other way than that tool eating club, I'll be disappointed. @TheBreadmonkey @TheBreadmonkey @TheBreadmonkey I want to know who the dude is and how he’s reacting to the viral video. @TheBreadmonkey I saw some posts about it and omg it's so much worse than I pictured it. Wow. @gettingcomputey @TheBreadmonkey His advice is so powerful she got so much better just like THAT @joehill @TheBreadmonkey That was my takeaway. You gotta get through it however works for you, but I was hoping for some comeuppance There is someone in the mentions explaining her behaviour (better than I can, but here my version): @thief_of_time @peterbutler @joehill @TheBreadmonkey This. It generally ends poorly for women who stick up for themselves. 🤷♀️ We learn to sop up men's hubris v young, for self-preservation. @peterbutler @joehill @TheBreadmonkey Some people aren't wired for that, regardless of who they are. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/L%27esprit_de_l%27escalier @TheBreadmonkey oh my god, the second hand embarrassment I feel watching this video 🙈🫣 @TheBreadmonkey The video doesn't load for me but I reblogged for that media description, well done! xD @TheBreadmonkey @TheBreadmonkey @lzg I’d be asking her for advice, those drives look pretty damn on the point, whereas the few times I have been on a driving range, it has ended up all over the place. @TheBreadmonkey Said elsewhere: unsolicited advice is always criticism. She doesn't understand. He's been a golfer for 20 years and can't tell her directly he wasn't anywhere as good as her when he was her age. |
@TheBreadmonkey Superb! What a prick. 😂😂
