 @samhenrigold @Gargron Do you have Aldi where you are? I found a good dumb TV there a couple of years ago.  sam henri gold, you can set up windows 11 with an offline user account, they just don't make that easy. There's some key combo to open a command prompt. Or you can yoink the network card. Or you can probably boot into something like WinPE and do some registry hackery.  @grishka I didn’t know about this but I’m excited to do this as a petty form of resistance  @samhenrigold @Gargron only one I’ve ever been able to find is NEC, but they’re commercial and pricey as! |
@Gargron They don't really sell dumb TVs over here but what I’ve done in the past is just never connect it to the internet and use my own streaming box.
Hopefully LG still lets me set up a TV without forcing me to go online like some other products (glances over at my Windows 11 machine)
